Tonight’s post is coming at you a little late, but look at that almost-mullet. Doesn’t that make it worth it?
Brandon Prust signed with the Montreal Canadiens last summer, and he’s been making my life super enjoyable ever since. I don’t know that everyone enjoys terrible hair the way I do (keep an eye out for my upcoming “Patrick Kane: International Man of Mullets” retrospective, coming soon to a blog near you), but you have to admit that on a guy like Prust, it’s pretty fantastic.
The camera went off by itself; Prust is not a model.
I don’t know why this picture was taken, nor do I wish to. Let us just enjoy the glorious fact that it exists.
Lookin’ a little gingery there, eh Prusty?
Prust is a guy who knows and takes pride in his role, and for us, this means getting to see him step in and defend his teammates pretty often. I really enjoyed digging through hockeyfights.com to find these gems.
I remember really enjoying this fight at the time, because it was right after Prust came back from a shoulder injury, and Rinaldo made sure to ask which shoulder was Prust’s bad one so that he could avoid it. Rinaldo is usually on my List, so that was nice to see.
Gotta give a shoutout to opening day of this lockout-shortened season. First shift as a Hab, and Prust decides he wants to wail on Orr.
We’ll return to your regularly scheduled posts-that-require-actual-thought soon, including thoughts on NHL Award nominees and this year’s draft prospects!
